Hi - I could really do with some of you forum users fantastic advice :0)
My sister unfortunately passed away last year but she left me some camping equipment. As an avid camper she tried (in vain) to persuede me for years to join her and her family camping which was quite possibly my worse nightmare!
As it was her dream to see me in a tent we as a family have thrown ourselves into this idea and bought all the equipment etc. My sister did leave me a few items and these are what we could do with some direction on.
First of all we have a big orange propane can. Can we use this with our camping grill and hob? If so I take it we need a regulator thingy? Do we need anything else?
Also she left me a electric hook up thing but I can see there is no rcd on it. I have a vague recolection that she may have used adapters on it. I was going to buy a couple to use with it - is this possible?
I appreciate these may be dumb questions to the experienced campers but bear with me... If this camping trip does not scar me for life I shall be a complete convert and am sure will me offering my knowledge in a few years!
Thanks in advance - kayte ;0)

Cant give any advice on the can, dont have one.

As for the EHU cable, I would personally only ever use an EHU cable that has RCD etc. you may be able to plug adapters etc. into it, but I'd always feel much safer with a proper modern one.

Portable plug in RCDs on your hookup are OK, but if you are going to buy several you might just as well buy a new unit with one built in.

I use a camping hob and grill on a propane bottle and connect it with a screw in propane regulator on the bottle.
