We had quite a game trying to get the first one to sleep through the night - and only at 2 she is finally getting it!! She often goes from 8ish until 7.30 which is lovely now, but up until 22 months she was regularly getting up once / twive a night despite trying a number of things!
Having menttioned it again Jo still isnt keen so i guess we will have to see how things go with the new arrival, if she settles well it may change her perspective!
Our youngest has been camping since she was 6 months. We are fortunate that she has slept all night from around the same age, so that was never an issue. First few times she slept in the carrycot top of her pram, and then in a ready bed after she outgrew that. Just makes sure you have lots of layers so that they can be peeled on/off.
We used to double up on her clothes, so she had two outfits a day say, she almost always needed more (she seeks out muddy puddles), but at least it gave me a chance to rinse and dry some.
We took the cartons of formula so we weren't taking any powder, steralised the bottles etc. in a Tupperware tub and Milton.
She's four now and is harder work now than she ever was then lol. Now she wants the mallet out of your hand and gets bored wanting to go explore quickly lol
