When I've pitched a small tent in the lounge, I've just tied the guy ropes around the legs of the chairs, sofa, music cabinet & the TV stand. If I need to hold down the corners of the tent, I use cord through the tent loop & tie it around a pile of heavy books or a tool box, it works fine for me.
