I have a 3 man tent which is almost 20 years old and has been in storage for many years. It's in excellent condition and I put it up in a dry back garden recently and everything looks fine.
However someone suggested that to be on the safe side I should spray the seams with sealer before camping in the wet since it may leak given its age.
Do you agree? and if so would you recommend that I use an aerosol spray like Fabsil or seam sealer from a tube?
Also if you're already on a camping trip and the tent springs a leak what's the fastest way to fix it?
I would recommend pitching the tent in your garden and giving it a good spray with a hose.
That way you can see if there are any leaks and where they are and then can take any necessary action before you camp.
I would do the same as Helen suggested soak it with the hose
