I use a varied selection of stoves, from meths burner, solid fuel stove and the bigger 2 ring burner with grill. I recently purchased a Marksman single burner with electronic ignition for the yacht. Similar to this one. I was not too happy with it because, I used up 1 tin of gas to boil 2 small kettles approx just over 1 litre of water. I would have thought the gas would have lasted a lot longer.
Gas should have lasted longer than that. We use these all the time when we take our portable train out - we get several kettles and at least one round of bacon butties out of a can of gas.
A Coleman Dual Fuel 2-burner stove is my stove of choice nowadays.
I also have the following sitting around in the house/garage somewhere: a Cadac Safari Chef HP, 2 suitcase stoves similar to the one in your pic, a Coleman F1 Spirit stove, a Coleman Sportster single burner dual fuel stove, and an Outwell 10-piece stainless steel cook set which is a copy of the Trangia stove design.

Hi all

Agree should have lasted longer than that but, if you were trying to do that at low temperatures then not unexpected as it's butane. I can do several kettles and cook a couple of meals on one gas cylinder at normal temperatures on a suitcase stove at normal temperatures.
However, because I also have to boil kettles, etc., at low temperatures, including below freezing, I opted for a camping chef and propane. I can't use dual fuel stove as not allowed it on ferries, but can seal off the propane so that's okay.

Good day to everyone.I had my first camping experience in ages last week, it was cold, -5C at
night.I have a Campingaz stove, you
know the small one with the click on cartridge. As I knew it was going to be cold I got a bigger kettle so I could fill
hot water bottles.However the Campingaz
stove was top heavy with the larger kettle and I can’t find the ‘feet’ that I had on a similar stove
years ago. (Any help there would be appreciated in locating such feet) I then
got a Hi Gear portable cooker which looks the same as the cooker that BikerBill
has. It’s more stable, but would just
not boil the kettle no matter how long I left it.Also, I thought it had run out of gas a few
times, however it would light again when ignited. In contrast, using the wee Campingaz stove
(carefully) I managed to boil the water, and use in hot water bottle when at
the correct temperature. One bit of kit
I got before going away last week on advice from here was to get a windshield
for the gas stove, it made all the difference.
I realise that the use for both stoves was perhaps well out
of their design remit, however the Campingaz one worked better and the gas
lasted twice as long.

Possibly because of the butane/propane mix in the CV cartridge (most "aerosol" type catridges are butane).
Re the foldind base stand, these seem to be included with some of the pierceable cartridge stoves, but may not be available separately, and I think the CV cartridge
might be too wide to fit them.
That's our stove & we certainly get a lot more use than that.

I have about 5 different stoves that I use for different camping styles...
1) Kampa Roastmaster hob and oven...Main stove for most of my trips in the Icarus 500...
2)Coleman duel fuel petrol double burner...Again sometimes used with the Icarus...Or for fishing trips in my bivvy(though its been a while since I have done that)
3)Coleman sportster dual fuel single burner stove that I have used on my two backpacking trips so far...(Tend to shove it in with my other gear as well handy for taking the chill off the sleeping pod on a cold day)
4) Small homemade meths burner...Still to be used in anger as I am working on a homemade foot/pot stand for it..
5) Recently found(In the house) an old camping gaz singlr burner stove that's at least 15yrs old...Cleaned it up...Bought 4 cartridges for it...And again doing some trials in the house with it at the mo...But will be used for B packing in future...
Also have a solid fuel stove bought about two yrs ago...Never used it as yet...Cost of the blocks putting me off....And somewhere in the house...I have a single burner suitcase stove that I used for my fishing trips...Till the day the fella in the bivvy next to me had his blow up while cooking something and had to kick it from the entrance of his tent into the loch to put it out...No Idea what caused this but put me off them a bit...
Also have a small portable gas heater(Cartridges) that I use from time to time to heat the tent when not on EHU though I only manage about two hrs cartridge use on full power with that....Could turn out a bit expensive if I used it all the time....
Jelboy.

I looked at the Coleman stoves but I can't get the cartridges here hence opted for Calor (already had the cylinder).
Apart from the PerfectFlow 1 Burner, the five other stoves can be run off a Calor 3.9Kg or larger propane bottle with a suitable hose.
