we have just bought a 2013 outwell Montana 6p which is an ex display and came with a big tub of fabsil.
We have put up the tent to clean it and when we fabsil the tent in a few weeks time was thinking of getting a sprayer but Im assuming I will need to cover the windows just like when a car goes to be sprayed?
once done this year and prob be used for 2 weeks, when will it need to be done again or is it a case of just seeing what its like.
We hadn't intended to buy the ex demo tent but we were on our way to see a 2nd hand tent that was 4 years old but when hubby saw tent in showroom decided wanted that style.
I use a plant sprayer to Fabsil my tents, only when they need it.Did not cover windows.Jus bea little cautious when you do by them.
We bought a second hand corado 6 and it rained in like a sieve, clened with tent clean and the Fabsil.
Brian, it's been on display outside for approx 3 months so has faded and when the shop told us it would probably need waterproofing and provided a big tin of it. I didn't test it when we put it up today
Test it with a hose pipe before you even think of waterproofing it. If it doesn't leak then just wash it down with plain water & don't use the Fabsil until it does leak.
We keep getting a small leak over the bedroom so it names a small puddle and then drips on us in bed! I bought a small can of Fabsil and gave it a spray where needed. Will see how it goes on holiday this year!
