I have just returned from my first solo camp in my much loved rock 4 tent, yes I know there are bigger and better tents around and I have looked at many. The rock 4 was within my limited budget and is just what I need for me and my dog. There is room if anyone tags along. I would have liked a vango icarus but would have had no money left then to buy a porch. I have the tent and porch all for just under £150 bought at seperate times during offers at go outdoors. I have made fitted carpet using 4 argos picnic rugs from the sale and they are huge , total cost more£12 and enough for up the side of my bed . Just spent the most peaceful weekend at kingsbury and can't wait to repeat it. As a lone female I felt a little aprehensive but was greeted with a cup of tea from a couple in a caravan next door. Great weekend , lovely friendly people and well behaved dogs too.
Campers are a friendly bunch, as I found out myself when I started camping on my own in 2009.
