Hello. I have a gelert beyond 6+2 which I've had for about 3 years now since new. It has been used up to about 2 months in total but the plastic / window on the front door has started to tear from the stitching.
This images so small parts of it.
Can this be fixed? Is it something i could do at home by hand or with a machine? Or is it a job for a professional?
Looks like you will have to have the entire window replaced. The plastic has ripped along the edge were the needles gone through. Almost like the perforations on tear off strips in paper. I think you will have to get it replace professionally. sorry.
We also have the Corvus 6+2 and have had the exact same thing happen so wondering if it is possibly a design fault. We have repaired ours with tenacious tape and it's okay but not perfect and you have to be very careful when zipping the door up. We have a front extension so it's not really a problem when we have that on.

As previously suggested it might be worth trying Tenacious Tape. Another product which I've personally found better (recomended by Gary Cross Camping) is Tear Aid (Type A). If neither of these products work then a professional repair might be required if economical to do so.
Yep you could be right, I was just reading off the box I have (type a) but it does say to repair vinyl use product B. looking at the link on the website it does say Vinyl & PVC for type B repairs.
Which ever product you decide on Tenacious Tape or Tear Aid, please advise of the results...
