It's not the actual temperature, it's exposure to UV that can cause tent fabric colours to fade, degrade the coating and, indeed, weaken the fabric itself.

Companies like Nikwax make brush-on and aerosol products to protect fabric against UV.

Search Google for the effects of UV on synthetic fabrics.

Is your tent going to be OK? If it only sees the sunshine for a couple of days or a week once or twice a year you have little to worry about IMO.

Heat can damage certain types of tent ! Although most are only going to be affected by UV as Scep has mentioned . i say heat can damage a tent based on experience tents that rely on being under tension to stay stable . you may all have noticed most tents go slack come evening or the next morning . due to a dip in temperature . We were in Hungary some years ago there were thunder storms forecast so we tensioned our tent up and went out for the day . The problem was the temperature rose above 30c on site and the storm missed as well resulting in our tent expanding causing the the tent to split all along the tensioned end . result i missed out on a goulash evening while i sewed and taped the edge up .
Dont over tension your tent
