At the beginning of last month, the wife and I purchased a new setup from GO, Tent (Outwell Georgia 5), Footprint, Carpet and Awning,and paid a fair whack of money for it, just over £1,000.
Yesterday we get a Summer sale brochure through the door, so I went online to see what they had in their summer sale, only to find the tent package we purchased was in the sale nearly £300 cheaper, the wife went ballistic and phoned them up to complain, I said there's no point as they'll just say it's in the sale.
After being on the phone for less than 5 minutes the wife says that if we take our receipt back and the card we used to pay they WILL refund the difference, how good is that?
Have to say, imo, they have gone beyond the call of duty. Thay had no cause to be so generous, and had no reason to fore-warn you of the impending sale, when you purchased.
Good on the missus for making the call, and good on GO for putting the customer first!
It doesn't suprise me GO have brilliant customer service as far as I am concerned, they now have a customer for life who will probably spend that £300 many times over in their stores.
They never quibble and are always good to their word, unlike some other outdoor retailers I could mention
Well we went down to GO today and to their credit they did refund the difference for us, so what did we do? Yep then went and spent another £200 there and then, ooops!!!!
I hope they respond as well to my email telling them my new Tampa chair, which I brought away this week for the first time, has broken, not had a real lot of use and the rivet on top of the chair has broken and it's now useless. As our nearest Go is a 150 mile round trip just popping it back isn't an option! Very disappointed.
