I camped a lot as a child but havent camped for many years. We have decided to get our two little chaps out under canvas. I've seen some great hacks and tips on Pinterest for camping. What are your top tips?

So far I have:
* Use empty tic-tac containers to keep spices in for cooking
* strap a head torch to a water container to create a large lamp...

There must be more???

Ah, pininterest, you'll get lost in there! From one who knows!

I like the one where you get a whole oufit and lay it out, trousers on the bottom, t-shirt, socks etc...and then roll it up from one end. Secure with a strip of masking tape and then write the persons name with a sharpie on the masking tape. I used that this summer and it's been great for keeping one good outfit for each person so we could go to a 'nice' restaurant on our last evening.

I've tried the fire starters with egg cartons and they work brilliantly.

Search 'pool noodle' on Pin interest, it'll keep you amused for hours.

I've got a camping tips board togetherhere

best tip I got: how to make ice last 3 days without hook up- pour water into empty 2.5 litre coke or similar bottle- freeze at home for 2 days- then put into your normal cool box. cut lid off-then smash top section with your mallet to break up ice- keep doing this. You will find the ice lasts 3 days and each morning you have a delicious glass of freezing cold water. Have used this tip now for the past 5 years-magic!!

My favourite - no firelighters? Use doritos!
