We currently have an Outwell Trout Lake 4 (2009) fantastic tent, but just felt like a change and a little more space. Also the 2009 does not have a rainsafe door, so we have gone for the Bear Lake 4 (2013 version)package and a side extension (not 2013 but they fit)
Hope to get it on Thursday......... feels like Christmas!
oooooh very nice! iv got the 2012 trout lake 4 with the front extension and for me on my own its a great " little tent " but the sloping and angled front does encroach on the living space inside.
the bear lake 4 is much longer and im sure you ll love it!

Ha ha thanks for the kind words. Had a couple of emails today to confirm the tent pack will be delivered tomorrow. The extn is "on it's way" but not too sure when I'll get it.
We hope to get away this year, work commitments may prevent us. We shall see.
Ooh I feel the same today, got an eBay bargain.... A vango maritsa 600 for £100 and he threw in a footprint and extension for nothing. Damn my small garden, I can't play yet!!!
OOOH, be interested to hear your thoughts on how it compares with the Trout Lake as we also have a 2009... in particular, are the bags much bigger and how much extra space is there in comparison? Do let us know! Enjoy your new tent

at Donkers - We garden pitched (Sisters place) the Bear and in comparison to the Trouty, it is mahoosive! The sides and front are not as sloped and it must be nearly 2.0m longer inside (?) The width is about the same, but without the slopes, it feels much bigger all over.
It pitched up pretty much the same as the Trout, just an extra couple of poles to feed through (We use the Cross Camping method) There are 100's of pegs though!
The ZIG seems to go in a lot easier, although it's not quite as thick as the Trout it's still a good quality item. The windows don't have mesh/zips. But with the canopy you can of course leave the front open as well as the two side doors (both have no see-um mesh)
It's the same quality as our Trout, lovely polycotton, solid as a rock aluminium poles, stronger zips etc. Got a cracking deal and first class service from SK Camping.
Sadly the side extn (bought from Outdoor Action) turned up after I'd left work, so that's not yet been tried.

A couple pitched up next to us this summer in a new Bear Lake 6. Lovely tent. We have the Norfolk Lake, must say I prefer the polycotton! Soon as the old Nervada M shows signs of aging i'd like a Trout or a Bear to replace it with.
