The last 2 trips ( southport 5 weeks ago n ty mawr came back from today) the wind has had it brutal moments and our cheap euro hike Buckingham 8 had stood up quite well but a bulging misshapen side and some creaking moments was confirmed today when packing away. 3 poles or 5 sections had split. Add to that some toggles for the bedroom pods had come off n shell was looking a bit tired. We decided to bin it. We'll start looking for a replacement during the winter.
Missed out on a bargain through hesitation. I was in go thursday n they had the display highgear corado 8 for £320 I went to check bank n speak to the mrs came back n it had been sold. I was a tad gutted.
Console yourself with the fact that ex display tents that have been erected outside for the summer months are probably at least half-way through their UV exposure lifespan, if not more. £320 is not a bargain if the tent only has two or three months of use left in it, and not the better months at that. There will be plenty of discontinued tents coming up at good prices over the winter. Just take your time and keep your eyes open.
the kalahari 8 is reduced to 229.99 and i bought something small today ( some webbing ) and they gave me a 10% off discount card off anything over 50.00 starting on weds ... so you could get that for 207.00!

Im looking at the kalahari 10 but the downside to that is the porch is like rocking horse manure . need to keep my eyes open for a bargain under 300. Bring on the snow for the bargains lolol
