I love your set up and it's making me wish I was camping too. I am a lone female and I love going camping on my own, and I'm lucky enough to get the chance to do so regularly.

I don't know why, but I get the impression someone has returned from their first solo trip absolutely buzzin'!!
And why not!
Looks great, PP. So pleased that it went well for you.
A couple of tiny comments, if I may...
You can enter more than one pic in each post... just keep doin' what you did, before pressing "Send".
Re the tarp... which looks great, btw... may I suggest that you just spread 'em a little more.... the guy pegs, that is!
Doesn't do any harm to have a nice wide triangle between pole and the 2 guy pegs. In that second pic, from the pole, take 2 large strides towards the camera, then one large stride to the left, and peg, about turn, then 2 large strides back to the right, and peg again (So 2 strides between pegs.
You may get away with what you have, depending on the wind, of course, but I'd wager it would be even sturdier by opening up that guy peg distance.
As for the pole itself, I started my tarping career by leaning it, but I'm not sure it achieves anything? I put them vertical now. (If it's telescopic, you can still get the height you want).
I stand to be corrected on both points... particularly on the latter.
As for the pole clips you mentioned, I can get my elasticated edge nice and snug and it don't blow off... but I'm talking steel tent poles. As yours are flexi-poles, I think you are dead right re adding some pole clips.
Well done on your successful solo-trip... and for putting the pics up!
Looks like youve got it all to yourself! Glad you had a lovely time. Looks like a great site and some really nice photos there. Love camping this time of year as its so peaceful, only managed one trip away this season so far but fingers crossed for a few more!
Cheers Mucker.. Peter pointers appreciated, I have had a gander at billy106's vango and vango tarp set up and yes he has 'spread em wide' at the front, I must participate in that area.. snigger. I did have my pole slanted too, at first I didn't put any gut ropes on the tarp but put 2 on the back, will put 1 on the from also when I go again on mi tod.
Will try to remember to put all pics on one posting... Roll on next Sunday for a family week of camping in the Electron 4.. use the big 'un in the summer, smaller tents seem to warm up quicker at night, plus windy Pilfred assists with air conditioning
