We use an inspection light with an enery saving lightbulb in so that it doesnlt get hot and rick burning the tent. Ours is similar to this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brennenstuhl-1176013-Safety-Inspection-Lamp/dp/B002NH4A6I/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_1_1

Thanks Christine,
these look ideal for the young un`s room, but are they safe to leave on all the time.Just a bit wary about certain some stuff from HK,thanks

Mm they might be a bit bright for leaving on all night, plus its AAA batteries but it seems well made.   I think our original Alpkit one was about £15 and said "made in China"   For the price worth a shot.

Niche,

If your children are reading in the tent, a warm LED lantern like this might be worth the extra.

It won't be powerful enough to light up the main living area of a tent, but would be fine for a sleeping pod.

Most battery powered LED lanterns give off a 'cold' light which can be unpleasant particularly for reading. 'Warm' LEDs are a warmer shade of white which is easier on the eyes.

at Kuppenbender. Yes our first 2 are identical to that. One is Alpkit branded the other I imported I agree those are a softer light and do have a dim setting. One thing , you can get the, a lot cheaper by importing.

Maybe I should take a photo of all the models we have lol. The first one was called 'bulb' from Alpkit , for reference they are about the height of a coke can but obv thinner. Think we have had ours 5 yrs and still going strong.
