We're about to order the Isis 500 to replace the Icarus we got a few years ago, and I quite fancy getting the awning as well.

How do they attaché to the body of the tent itself? Is it easy?

And it looks like the footprint we had for the Icky will fit the Isis. Does anyone know for sure?

The Isis 500 is a slightly different shape at the front and the dimensions are slightly different compared to the Icarus 500.

It looks like the awning goes over the front porch of the tent and there are hooks which attach to the middle pole of the Isis 500.

I don't know the answer to your question, but given the number of people posting on here looking for extensions to go with their tent retrospectively I would say always buy the extension for your mid sized tent at the time, rather than trying to source it later.
