Hi. I've never been camping before and have just purchased my first nevada 8 man tent. It's got no instructions but I have read some posts and worked out the way it goes up.

Problem is I've got 4 extra poles. They have a little rubber/plastic stopper on the bottom and a small kind of spike out the top??

It could be to hold the doors up like a canopy but I can't work out??

Any help would be very much appreciated

It does sound like they are king poles, and they do indeed hold the doors up. If you look at the bottom of your doors, there may well be an eyelet on either side- stick the spikes through these, stand the poles upright, and use guys for stability- et voila!

We had the same 4 spares and worked out they go inside the tent from the centre of the front poles ie at the main door to the centre of the next set of poles. Hopefully I've expalined that well enough! You should be able to see the plastic bits they slot into.
