In WW2 a landing craft crew each refused to wash up, after landing and capturing a city they raided a hotel and liberated a large quantity of plates, after each meal they would throw dirty plates overboard.
Anything in a tin can be eaten cold in safety with a spoon, but a small stove and a mess tin allows you to heat tinned food.
Instant noodles may now be bought in France, have not seen them there before this year. 15 mins is a long time on a small stove.
I notice in the photo of the laid table (page 1) that the plates actually match the table cloth. Is this camping or aesthetics?
