We have a Outwell Birdland 4 and wondered if the Hi-gear Corado 4 canopy would be ok , £29 97 in Go Outdoors clearance at the mo, we just need something to keep the rain from the door.
The height is similar , tent is 205cm, canopy 210cm but the width is more , tent is 285cm , canopy 320cm ? Would that matter, it doesn't need to be a perfect fit just
somewhere to kick off muddy boots and wipe muddy paws and keep the puddles out of the tent
As the canopy has guys to both front and rear poles, I would imagine it can be pitched independently of the tent.
As the canopy is slightly wider, and slightly taller, there would be gaps, but you are aware of that, and don't seem to be put off.
With all that, I can't see a problem, and coupled with the excellent price, I'd say GO FOR IT.... and let us know, preferably with pics, how it turns out!
I am trying to think if there would be a problem, and there is. There is only one set of poles which go on the front, and the back connects to the front poles of the main tent by Velcro and clips. So I don't think it will work. (see the pic of ours) Geoff
