we used to have that exact tent and never had any problems, perhaps because we were a family of 4, 5 or 6.

i know riverside camping charge extra for large (8 man+) tents, but we've never been charged extra as a six in our vango infinity 800, even with the side extension.

perhaps sites charge extra if you turn up as a couple in a big tent, and allocated pitches for smaller numbers of people are sized accordingly.

nice tent by the way, we only got rid because of the dynamics of the familly older children no longer able to share a bedroom.
