We have a range of options depending on what type of trip we are doing from a little trangia for backpacking to the full electric kit! We have an electric double hob but I like cooking on gas, not sure why. Our double gas burner must be over 20 years old.
We bought one of those cheap electric mini ovens from Argos last year and although small its really handy, we have even cooked a roast dinner using it! Very handy if you have the space and are on electric.
We originally has one of those suitcase style single burners when we first started but hated the thing, we now use a campgaz twin hob with grill, however the grill is pretty pointless so never used.
My favourite stove however is my beer can backpacking stove I always keep on in the car and a couple in the camping box, its great for a quick cup of tea and I have cooked plenty on meals on it when backpacking.
