Just back from North Yorkshire, driving gale force winds, horizontal rain, hail and snow.... it was bloody fantastic, loved it
Can't beat adverse weather, and the Vango Ark 400 was worth its top dollar, withstood gale force winds.
Also used my Swedish Trangia for cooking with no issues at all...can't beat a cuppa in the morning while listening to the birdsong and watching rabbits frolicking in the morning dew.
Looking forward to the next camp.. Also took my night vision monocular, a fab investment if you like wild life :)

Sorry for delayed reply... we went to a campsite not far from Boroughbridge junction 48 off the A1M... fab site, basic but it suits me fine and the owners are super.
Been back since for a weekender in lovely weather too :D
Its mighty good to get back out an at it.
