Hi everyone,

we have just enquired with a site about staying there and we asked about paying the £6 extra to stay on after 12pm on our last day but was told "we cant do that as we are unsure if someone will be following you on the pitch the same day but if its free then for £6 you can stay on"

I may be being a bit dim but isn't the £6 a fee for booking the pitch for an extra amount of time because it seems to me I am only able to pay extra for nothing at all really.

Camp sites are businesses, they cannot afford to lose a booking because someone is not vacating their pitch at the regular time.
Many sites will allow you to stay longer on payment of an additional fee, provided that nobody is booked on the pitch for that night, but it would not be in their interest to accept a late stay in advance.

That's a very good point! Didn't think like that to be honest.

Thanks for the reply
