Last weekend was the first time we didn't take our camping chairs out of the boot, and made do with those small fold up stools that come with a fold-out suitcase style table. We always use the stools in the morning anyway, and also when sat at the (dining) table, then get the comfier chairs out in the evening (or late afternoon), but on this occasion we were pretty much off site until dusk. By the time we had knocked back a deserved beer, and had a shower, it was bedtime!
Wasn't planned that way, but we managed fine. Can't be doing with slouching in the morning (We don't go into our lounge at home until evening, preferring the kitchen table throughout the day).
Having said that, no way would I be up for sitting on the floor/ground, blanket or no blanket! I doubt I'd get up again!
We never used to take either back in our early twenties. But when we started camping again in our early fourties I had several requests and one was table and chairs. Mainly because the reason we stopped camping was my back and I knew that without a chair I would never cope
