I have an Outwell Arizona and although it is meant to erect easily, I find it a little difficult to thread the poles (it only has 3) through the material.
To you seasoned campers - have you got any top tips how I can make this easier?
I have heard of a technique, but not tried it myself. You put the cover of a chapstick (i.e. lipsyl) over the end of the pole before threading which is supposed to help prevent it catching on the way through.
I've got the same tent.
Found by taking my time and not rushing the threading through is fine.
I thread through the two longer poles then the shorter one ... then put pins in.
Have done it on my own but was concerned about damaging a pole, so now get one of my teens to stand inside holding the poles up.
My Kampa Perran 4 is very similar to your Arizona.
I managed to pitch it by myself by taking my time and gently pushing each pole through. If it became caught, I shook the fly sheet to straighten the sleeves out so that the pole could carry on in a straight line (if that makes sense!)
I don't think there is a magic solution for making the job any quicker or easier - just take your time and do things slowly so that you don't end up ripping the flysheet by forcing the poles through.
