The hooked end seems to be colour coded. Is there any clue there? Any poles with red tape that have a hole in for the hook? Trailer tents often have poles like this that hook into a hole in the top of the trailer poles to form the awning roof but I've not seen them on a tent.

They look like caravan awning poles. Some use them as tent ridge poles for tarps.

They look like something to support an awning. is there a transverse pole at the top front of the tent?
Do the hooks go over this and then get tensioned along top sides of the awning. There would then be two uprights to go through holes of the poles at the front and guyed out.
I've had a frame tent with something similar
