Hi guys.
We bought our tent (orava 600xl)at the end of last summer.it was ex display so had been up for a while in the elements.the shop we bought it from advised putting it up and re-waterproofing it before we pack it away for the winter which we did.
Now,we are going to be using it for the first time for our holiday the first week in august,do you think it's worth waterproofing it again before we go or is what we have done sufficient? if so what would you recommend?

I wouldn't bother. If it rains on it, have a look at how it sheds water. If it beads up like a freshly waxed car, it's fine. If it has patches where the surface is wetting as a film of water, it would benefit from reproofing. You could always do that on site.

Even if it is not beading, a modern polyester tent is probably not going to leak noticeably. I have a 15 year old two-man tent that wets out and needs reproofing but it doesn't leak. It just stays wet on the outside for longer than it should and is more prone to condensation as a result.
