So, i finally caved and bought a vango aurora double sleeping bag after reading all the good things about them. But goodness it's a beast!!

Are there any which are as good but not quite as bulky? I had an outwell campion lux but it only unzipped on one side so had to send it back.

We have given up on double bags and use singles now. The wife is a heat vampire and her cold feet suck all the heat out of me.
She uses a carp fishing bag which is big enough for her to get into starfish mode. I use an ex army arctic bag. Both are not restrictive and are nice and warm.
For backpacking we both use mummy down bags made by Kelty

It is a cyprinus bag. They do lots of different ones. All very warm and roomy.
