Hi everyone,
I am a total newbie to camping, and need some advice.
I recently bought a Vango Icarus 500XL, which is quite good, but I've been toying with the idea of adding a side awning to it.
I cannot seem to be able to find a dedicated awning for said tent, and was wondering if the Vango universal awning (small) would suffice.
I'm not convinced that an awning can be truly "universal" and be able to fit a plethora of tents, and I don't want to buy one, only to find that it's not right.
Therefore, my question is, does anyone have this particular set-up and does it actually work.
All advice greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi sturobby, there's a Vango side awning suitable for the Icarus 500XL on eBay up in 10 hours here

For our first venture with a 5m bell tent we tried a Selections freestanding canopy at the side but even with hardcore pegs it was unstable in the wind so now we've bought a dedicated bell tent awning, hoping to try it out in the next few weeks :)
