aqua roll stolen on large commercial site in the lakes..recovered two days later as I had put outrhome postcode on the base...Advised the ''culprit' I would part his body from his breath if he didnt leave the site within the next two hours..Advice accepted ...no requirement for police attendance..Aquaroll returned !
I once left a bottle of aftershave in the washroom and when I went back an hour later it had gone. I thought about calling the police to sniff out the culprit.

Twice I've had thieves, when we were tenting. The first time, I had left a box of milk, which had been opened, in the shade at the side of the tent, and returned to find it had been sloppily drunk. I suspect the owners dog which had already been to visit us.
The second time we were on Anglesey, bought a plastic box with 2 pastries in and left it under the car in the shade, tucked against the wheel. Went out on the bikes. When we returned, there was a squabble of crows and seagulls around the tent. They had pulled the box out, managed to remove all the sticky tape sealing it, (and you know how difficult that can be), opened the plastic popper at one side and removed and eaten 1 pastry!
Gas Fridge stolen from a campsite near Calais,even took the milk out and left that for us, the fridge had to be 100% level to work properly, used to take me 10 mins to set up correctly or it wouldn’t work, they probably dumped it in a ditch when it didn’t work, the campsite was full of these chav types from the uk that filled up thier cars with cheap fags and beer when that was popular,
