I want to try a camp bed but every time I get in one in a camp shop, I feel as though my life is in immediate danger, as though they are not supportive enough. I am 13 stone.

Is this a normal feeling for someone who has spent their life on airbeds?

My husband and I both weigh more than you, quite a bit more in fact! We have had campbeds for many years now and find them very stable. We don't have doubles as always find it warmer in our own space. We put airbeds on top of the camp bed and it's basically like sleeping on a normal bed with the added bonus of storage space underneath. We find this set up incredibly comfy, in fact, I'm always sorry to leave my camp bed and return to my own bed!!

Lidl one man tent.£20 pounds worth it's little weight,easy to fit into a pannier bag,never leaks even in heavy rain.No immediate porch facility and could do with pole_end seam tapes strengthened just a tad.Overall,a must to take with you and try.

These are not cheap but are amazing. you can clip two together. They will take 110 kg, about 17 stones. Elastic holds the mattress in place

you must inflate to 6 psi or it will sag. you need a pump with a gauge

I would recommend these as well. We have used them for a few years now, daughter with a simple on top and us with air mats.

I have slept on campbeds in my home as well as camping.

Perfectly stable IMO. Give you a bad back after a while though.
