I’ll be getting a pitch with EHU when we’re camping and I’ll be using an Actifry or slow cooker to cook for my daughter).
From what I can see there is nowhere to cook in the tent (no porch etc - it’s a Cabana Gelert). I’m wondering if I need to get a utility tent or if could I use the actifry/slow cooker inside of the tent safely enough?
I will have a camping stove too but I can use that outside providing it’s dry or use it under a tarpaulin etc. It’s the electricity element of the Actifry I’m worried about, obviously when it’s in use it’s going to need to be used somewhere dry.
This season, we cooked on a twin electric hod in our 4 berth Airgo Horizon with no problem. We continued to use the same shield we used with our gas stove to simply divert the heat from directly getting to side of the tent.
We use a Cabanon PN20 Utility tent, fairly small and packs away to nothing.
We have in there the CampinGaz Cheff twin burner/grill, mini oven, induction hob, kettle.
Also in there is one of those vango cupboards, which acts as a larder etc.
Not forgetting it also has fire extinguisher, and fire blanket along with water filled fire bucket on the outside.
Although it often gets referred to as Hell's Kitchen!
