It was all over the news on Monday.
Weather maps with big dark purple swirly bits denoting 70mh. Many people posting local weather forecasts from Wales and SW England.
And yesterday they were saying 80mph.

when the truth of it was it was no where near that speed, yet more media hype! i actually had washing out on the washing line! ok it didnt dry but it stayed put, seems the problems where more of a rain nature rather than the so called wind

We ‘day camped’ without our tent yesterday alongside our friend who had braved it in her geodesic + sleeping pod tent. She was very carefully set up, tucked in by a thick hedge higher than her tent which protected her from the wind direction. She didn’t get much sleep but the tent survived. Many others on the site even in other sheltered spots had broken tents and either had to leave or sleep in the barn.
Glad I stayed home!!
