Wondered if it was worth buying a stand alone caravan awning for a tent - both are Outwell and look about right dimensions - would be much cheaper than buying one of the new universal extensions that Outwell do

Surely a caravan awning would be far too tall to attach to a tent.

Not sure there is a standalone caravan awning. They fix to the caravan and need to be supported by it.

You might mean a drive away awning as used by camper vans etc. These are basically a tent joined to the camper by a short tunnel. The tunnel is not particularly weatherproof though.
