Hi there new member here.

My son who is 17 is going camping soon for a week and I need to buy him a self inflating mat.

It needs to be easy to use as he has SEN and would like to pay up to £40.

I've been looking on Amazon UK but there is so much choice and don't want to get the wrong one.

Would be very grateful for any recommendations.

Thank you 😊

I have a Vango Trek 5. They're around forty quid. I'd buy one again.

I've just had a look and quite a few reviews say it's a bit heavy to carry as son will be walking/hiking with it for his Duke of Edinburgh. Pity as it looks comfortable.

Does it have to be a SIM? The trekology ul80 would fit your price, compact to carry & popular choice - check Amazon, plenty of YouTube videos too

Again it looks good but I don't think my son would manage blowing it up as he can't tale a pump with him.

Take a look at the ones over at Alpkit as they have good reviews:

Just had a look and has this one ALPIK cloud base inflatable mat

https://alpkit.com/products/cloud-base

I've found similar on Amazon a bit cheaper

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07C4NVYY8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_09GX95EJRH0SRRR18T0F?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I really don't mind paying the extra if it's a better mat

Thank you. I've bought the ALPKIT Cloud Base as seemed to have better reviews than similar Amazon product and seemed to suit our needs.

Thanks to everyone else much appreciated.
