It's still a week away but we are all really excited and looking forward to being away in the tent again, w.ego next Friday!
We are going to our "go to camp site in Cornwall
Trevornick just out side of Newquay.
We have been there for the last 10 years now and still love it as much as we did on our first trip.there
Feels like it's been a long time since we was last away with the tent (August last year)
Not had chance to get any weekend trips in but we are away for 11 days now, and then again for 10 days in August.
Sorry for the ramblings just had to share our excitement with you all.
Happy camping to you all and of you are eon the same site as us please come and say hello!!
That sounds lovely - and what a nice part of the world to be staying in.
We are going for the first time since September this Thursday to Doune, so the other end of the country to you! We have stayed before and I’m excited but worried that the weather won’t hold (it’s not looking so good in the long range forecast but I’m hoping it will get revised). It would be nice to do a camp in the dry for once! Just a long weekender for us.
I did have the tent up in the garden last weekend which I am glad about because I discovered that some rodents had chewed a hole in the tent. Gave me opportunity to assess and repair the damage.
Good luck with the first trip! I hope the weather is kind for you.
I am going with my girlfriends this weekend and I think it is going to get cold which is a shame.
We began our camping adventures in a ready tent at Trevor nick 20 years ago, came home and bought our own tent and went back again twice in the next few years. Great site but what put us off was how much they charged for dogs, id expect them to walk them for that price! Nit been back since but it looks like alot more lodges have been added and the theme park next door has gone?
------------- May/June - Spring Valley
Aug/Sept - Leekworth
Yes the theme park has gone that went a few years ago now. Shame as it was a nice little.add on to the park.
We still love it there and I do t think any other campsite in Cornwall will pull us away from there.
They have added quite a few luxury lodges where the theme park was over looking the beach and sand dunes.
I can't comment on the price for dogs as we.do have a dog but we have never taken him with us. I do know they have plenty of dog walks around the site and a dog shower cubicle.now.to shower them and clean the sand off them.
The ready tents are still there. We looked at one for later in the year. (End of July)
For a family's wedding that's in the area but they had no bookings available.

If you mean Blair Drummond, it’s one of our favourite sites; we go several times a year for a short break.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
