Hi, after some advice/help please! (Again!)
We have purchased a 400sg stove, and I cannot get it to work, and I am pulling my hair out.
Purchase a new gas cylinder yesterday so that is full.
Connected the tubing (after many many attempts!!) to the stove and the gast tank. Fixed with jubilee clips.
Fully twisted the black valve on the gas tank so it is open.
Turned the button over to the stove marking, pressed the ignition button. But nothing is happening.i get a wee spark but nothing is catching.
I don't hear any gas coming out
I've probably missed a really important step, but any help would be appreciated.
Further to above I have just seen a post on here with the issue:
Hi, I just wanted to ask for a bit of advice from you, if that's ok? I use a Camping Gaz Lagon stove which uses a Camping Gaz 907 cylinder but I can't get it to light. I thought that the cylinder might be out of gas so I bought a refill. However, it still doesn't light. When I open the valves on the regulator and stove it doesn't smell as if any gas is coming out. I have only used the stove and regulator on one camping trip about 10 months ago where it worked fine but I tried it recently and it doesn't light. Could it have something to do with the regulator? Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated
And the poster worked it out:
Thank you so much to you all for taking the time to reply to my post.
I checked it again this morning and I'm extremely embarrassed to report that I have only now noticed that the plastic knob that
opens and shuts the regulator valve was threaded so it was turning but not opening the valve. This explains why no gas was going into the stove.
Am I missing something?! I have only turned the knobs on the stove and the black one above?
Thanks!
