Well we've 'done' the lakes, Venetto and parts of Tuscany driving. I now want to explore Puglia and possibly Sicily, so flying is the best option.
Robert's got a few years until he retires. I'd just had enough, my inheritance allowed me to rid myself of any financial commitments, so I opted to enjoy life while I can. I work for 3 months in the winter with the 'clearing house' for a faculty at Leeds University.
I'm enjoying singing opportunities that I could otherwise do i.e. Opera North etc.
We actually had a weekend in a POD on the shore of Ullswater....brilliant.
Who knows what lies ahead.

Sorry about your husband. Big health changes really impact life. Enjoy whatever you do and live life to the full. Don't give up the idea of camping. Things do get better and people get stronger. Trust me.

Life has changed in many ways really. I let work dominate my life and suffered a Hypertensive Crisis, landing in hospital. I then decided to do some contracting and let the priority of £££ take a back seat.
Within months Robert had his heart attack....
My saviour has been my music.
We tried a road trip last July but it was just too much.
I decided to retire and change my priorities. We sold a property and had a few more 'treats'.
I'm a different person, and I'm on hand to look after Robert's needs.
This Italy trip will be a first...Airbnb...flying!!!
We also decided to comit to Leeds Philharmonic and found a new set of friends.
We haven't sold the kit yet, so who knows.
