Just been looking at this tent on the web

I was looking for a light large frame tent do you think this maybe an option.

It looks expensive but it is cheaper than a frame although I am a bit baffled by all the science of the description.

Is Vango good quality and what does the lifetime guarantee actually cover

You views would be appreciated

Sorry I've no experience of Vango tents. It does look rather expensive, there are lots of tunnel tents around at a lesser price - and many members here seem very happy with them. Why did you want a frame tent, particularly? - is packed size and weight an issue, as frame tents to tend to be bulkier and heavier. I have to confess to a nostalgia for frame tents, as I do love the smell of canvas.. however we are looking for a new tent for next year and being a bit short of space in the car I think it will have to be a modern tunnel. I hope you have success in your search.

I think that this tent does look like a good alternative to a frame tent,. I think there would be lots of advanatges to this tent:- it's size/weight, the fabric would not need proofing, there would be less draughts, easier to erect.

We have just bought a Vango Aspen and have not used it yet, but Vango are a very good make. If you look on their website it explains the guarantee and what is covered. Good luck!!!

I am intrigued! Sounds like the sort of thing I am thinking of, but can't find it. Which website did you see it on?

Thanks for that - I had a peek and it looks a good tent, and Vango have had a good reputation over the years.

Bit big for us though.

I have a vail . The last tent we had was a Campus Brekenridge 6 man. (same as a Vango Diablo 600) The Vail is huge but easier and faster to errect than the Campus. two of us can get it up in 30 minutes now (used 4 times)

the vail uses it space better than large dome tent like the Diable and you will have less griel when on a samller pitch

Best tent we have ever owned (we have owned at least 6)

It is a frame tent without the weight, smell or faded canvass

Vango are a reliable make, and Vail combines the rigidity of metal poles with the lightness of man-made fabric, so it is a real hybrid. The layout makes good use of space and it has good ventilation too. I would say it is a bargain at £300.
