Cheers again everybody for your advice and encouragement! I have bought an ex-display Cabanon Pacific being sold at a bargain price partly because it has some fading from having stood outside for a few months last summer but mainly because it is the previous green colour rather than the current blue. The fact that it isn't the latest colour and all bright and shiney doesn't bother me, but getting a sound, solid tent at little more than half list price seems like a good deal.
The tent should be here in a week or so and then I've just got to wait a few months to try it out . Oh, and buy some battening as per Romany's instructions for drying out in a paved area! MT
