I'm in the market for a new tent and I seem to have expensive tastes. I really like the look of the Randstad pyramid tents and now I've found the Cabanon Biscaya 370 tent.
Does anyone have one of these and how good are they?
I would like a tent that's good quality, warm and with a groundsheet attached thats easy for two people to errect. Any idea's?
My oh my! you do have expensive tastes The Biscaya is lovely. However, I've only been inside a display one, so probably can't help you much. The only thing I can confirm is that Cabanon is an extremely good brand, and their tents last years & years.
Thanks Guys. I'll keep all that in mind. Our last tent cost us £150 (can't remember the make) but it's only lasted 2 years of light use (tearing in places) so would like a sturdier make this time.
Just had a look at those Randstad pyramid tents, they really do look the buisness
I think you really get what you pay for, we prefer a canvas tent even though it takes up more room in the car when packed, when we looked at tents in a camping shop last weekend OH commented that some would be like sleeping under a pac a mac.
Probably pack down as small as well.

hi not seen the tent you are talking about but i have the cabanon espace 8 i just put it up in my dads garden its very strong and looks well made only time will tell i away easter weekend i let u know but never hear bad things about the cabanon good luck
We were a bit concerned about where to put the camp kitchen etc so are very impressed by the pics on Sheriff's profile - which kitchen tent is that, by the way?
Would anyone who owns a Biscaya please let us know:
Does the tent get a bit stuffy in warm (or especially in hot) weather? Went to look at them yesterday, on a warmish day, and they were a bit more stuffy inside than I had imagined.
So, tried to open the window vents and found it really dificult to open the side ones on the 500; basically because I had to lean into the tent to do it (because of the angle of the side). I was almost falling into the canvas! Also, there are no toggles on the front windows to fix the panels when you lift them up for ventilation - we tried tucking them into the top of the window trim but not sure how long they would stay up.
Finally, is there a point in the zip in groundsheet to allow EHU into the tent?
It is a lovely tent, but an awful lot of money, so I want to feel absolutely right about it before taking the plunge.
The easy option and quickest is to roll back the whole front window which can be done in a minute. The side windows are tricky but i manage mainly because I am 6ft +.
no entry in the ground zip for electric but can be done through front porch fine
I've got an entry point for EHU in the canvas by the entrance, at least I think that's what it's for , ours is last years model. The tent does get warm in the sun unless you roll up the plastic coating on the outside of the windows.
Hi all
Well if you have got £1,170 You can buy the cabanon Biscaya 440 with its own kitchen outlet there is no problem cooking in a Cabanon as they are well vented and you do not get condensation, If I had the money this would be my next tent.Shear tenting opulence lovely.Highbridge caravans are selling them for £1,170 with free delivery to the UK
