We've got a Coleman Oasis and it seems to be pretty storm proof despite the gap. As long as you pitch on fairly flat ground there's no problem with the rain. Because the bedroom pods have their own integral groundsheets these parts stay well insulated and we've not had any rain come into the tent even after a mightly storm in the Cotswolds three weeks ago. The tent isn't perfect but for the price we paid it's great value if you're fair weather campers like us.
