Has anyone got the 2005 excel version of the wynnster mercury 9 tent? - We are trying to find a cheap(ish) tent for a family of 4 (2 boys fast becoming teenagers) and was wondering if you think this tent has enough space for a weeks holiday as well as weekends (especially in bad weather).  I've found it online for £200 for the older 2005 model which i thought was a reasonable price. Does it have the mesh doors on the porchways like the new 2006 models and how many windows does it have?  Any help would be greatly appreciated before my head hurts any more!

Thanks for the recommendation - have had alook at the Toulouse but it only has the one porch, whereas the mercury excel has one front and back (hoping to stick cooking stuff in one and shoes etc in the other) - Always willing to look though!

As far as I'm aware the 2005 model has mesh door on front entrance door but not the rear one. Updates for 2006 include windows located by the bedrooms (for early morming light/ ventilation etc) hope this helps

Hi,

Have just bought the excel version last week so not been tested yet. I bought it on ebay from a camping shop called the great outdoors (had 100% feedback) for £190 + £9.95 delivery. Arrived within 2 days and looks great, can't wait to test it in April. If you go onto www.camping-supplies-uk.com you can look at the mercury 9 and the excel. Hope this helps.

Stig
