Yes - Calyton Square witha fair sekection of Craft stuff - I find it great for cards/paper. If you want the really yummy selections of stamps, and super fancy stuff, then its well worth the hike down the the Albert Dock and Courtyard Crafts - but if like me you're into that type of stuff you'll need another mortgage before you go there's that much there
Well we've been. Got the distinct impression that they weren't quite ready - people walking round with ladders etc, escalators not working.
Disappointed in that you had to ask if you wanted to view the tent display - didn't bother. Wonder how many other people will say "sod that - go to somewhere without having to ask, and an assistant hanging around while we look"? When forking out for a tent most of us want to have a browse, talk with other half, and then if needed ask advise. Don't know about anyone else, but feel that yes there needs to be staff there all the time - but customers should just be able to look at their leisure - I for one would feel a bit uncomfortable having to ask to see the tents - just to browse.
Thanks Moonseeker. That will save me making a special trip. I will leave it now until we need to go into Town for other stuff. There is nothing worse than hovering sales staff when you are doing important stuff, like parting with money.
Well off we toddled to Liverpool this morning...after de snowing the car - to visit Lush...I mean the new Blacks Superstore...and as Moonseeker said it isn't ready...! We didn't see any ladders but the escalator still wasn't working..!
We asked to see the tent display and were told that it wasn't finished yet and that they have no tents erected..We did offer to put some up but they said the room wasn't ready..! I asked what was going to be displayed and was tod that the whole of their stock..I todl him we were interested in teh Outwell renge and he replied that 'there will be some of them'....I get the impression that Blacks range will be displayed with a coupe of others thrown in if there is space..!
All was not lost though...we did go to Lush and Paper Mill...!
Got to admit that all was not lost on our trip. Got some stuff from Lush. some cards with envelopes from Rennies at a decent price (plus student discount), did have a look in the Paper Mill as well. Oh yes and a very decent deal on a Digital Camera and Photo Printer from Jessops/ I had some vouchers that needed using so went on for a new Digital Camera - got a far better one than I'd hope as it was in the sale, and had almost enough over to get a little Photo printer - again greatly reduced so I'm one happy teddy.
Hiya, I work right opposite the new Blacks store (offices on top of Anne Summers)and went in on Friday as soon as it opened. A few teething problems with the escalators but it is a great looking shop.
Adapt outdoords in Richmond Street is a great little shop, just bought the Freeflow 25 from there and they have 20% off everything with a zip.
