Have you ever stayed at this excellent site on the banks of the River Ouse? If you have then you also probably enjoyed a stroll along the river to Eaton Socon lock. There you would have come across the excellent Rivermill Tavern. You may have sat out in the sunshine enjoying a drink and watching the boats go by. You may even have had a meal from the varied and very reasonable menu.
Some seven years ago that's exactly what I did. I liked the spot so much I moved into the area!
Now disaster has struck. A new owner wants to oust the tenants and convert the building into three naff town houses. He intends to tear the heart out of the local community to create just three dwellings that none of the locals could ever afford.
If you are planning to visit or re-visit the St Neots CCC site and want to continue enjoying the peace and tranquillity of The Rivermill and Eaton Socon lock then please lodge an objection to the proposals via:
