hi, we have the same tent, and I suffer from terrible back aches, but I sleep my best when camping, I found a single airbed(the red and blue sorts) the best. we have 2 singles and 1 double but decided to have the double in 1 bedroom with the 2 little ones on it, then me and the missus have a single each in the main room, then if I am having a bad night we can detacth from each other but as I say I seem to sleep best whgen camping.
we use the 2nd bedroom as storage, then just chuck our sleeping stuff in the kids bedroom in the day.

This looks comfy...but probably is a wee bit extravigant for a tent...and you'd need a hell of a roof box...!!!
But seriously though, we use a Coleman Double Chamber affair. And its bloomin luverly. My wife actually slept better on it than our bed at home when she was pregnant last summer. We are debating whether to get two single camp beds to sit it on this season, so we arent on the ground...
Perhaps you should consider something with a firmer base, maybe a thin matress on something like this...
We have just bought one of these new fangled memory foam mattresses at home. The jury is still out for me but my wife has suffered a few aches that she didnt get with our old doingy spring effort.

Leezo - I have back problems due to a slipped disc in my lumbar region, and I find the Coleman Comfort double airbed is great. Because the two chambers are separate we can have each side to our desired firmness, and if my back is a bit tender due to over exertion (walking, lifting heavy beers etc) I am not affected by him moving around in the night either.
The only advantage I can see to a camp bed is that it would be higher off the ground and lest of a problem for getting in and out of, but when I have lain on a canvas camp bed in the shop to try it, what strikes me is that it does not curve into my spine and so i don't think it would be sufficiently supportive for my needs.
Hope that helps!

It's Ayr Holiday Park . Think it's got EHU - small tent pitches tho - (Max 20ft including pegging) - so no good for me now I've got a 23ft Monty !
Cheers, Dave
