welcome to camping, can I say, what would I do without this site?? a) it's addictive, b) everybody is really nice, C) when you can't go camping, come on here!!!! it's like a virtual weekend away!!
------------- Adventures can start or end anywhere, you just need the right attitude
Going to try and get hold of the Cades tomoz as I am told it is pretty good. Really wanting to go camping but really nervous about the whole adventure....is this normal for the first time? So much worry? so much organising?

Lancashire???? it isn't only the the weather you'll have to worry about it's those sheep you have to be bothered about........And those men following them around in fur lined wellies
Best of luck to you. I'm being a coward and waiting til Mayish for our 1st family camping trip
As far as I know Cades is just a camping site guide. There is a monthly magazine about Camping but to be honest it doesn't give you anywhere near as much information as this forum does. I bought a copy once, but was very disappointed - it didn't even show many piccies of tents
Hi All Welcome to UKCS, Whats better that sitting down and reading all the posts,NOTHING IS !!!! LOL We all have one thing in common on here and that is the love of camping.
As you have found out that this site is sooooo addictive i found my way in 2003 and once in the doors locked behind me !!! so now i am in for life !!!! lol

Help please lol
Awww don't spoil your camping trip worrying. I think most of us campers are big list makers and at the end of the day if your forget something minor you will manage without.
What magazines have you been buying? I have heard of one called Cades that I have been told is a must have but not managed to get hold of it just yet so any other mags I must have let me know please!
Many Thanks
Shelley
Don't worry about magazines...we've never bought one and get along just fine..We did join the C&CC though and get a mag from them, however as commented elsewhere it is mostly articles on caravaning.
