We are going to waterproof our first tent. It is two years old. Vango Diablo any do's and don'ts. Advice appreciated as always.

The waterproofing is on the inside of the fly on a Diablo so if you were thinking of waterproofing the outside, it wouldn't make much difference. The polyester material itself won't absorb water, that's why the PU coating is internal.

I don't think it would do any harm tho.

Hallo....

can anyone give me advice about waterproofing the soft top on my 109 Land Rover. We used to us Fabsil on our cotten tents years ago. I would want to brush it on. Would two coats be enough?. Would it need washing first, and if it did, what's the best stuff to wash it with?. Thanks

I didnt think you waterproofed nylon tents. I thought it was only canvas that had to be waterproofed.

Thomsons brick sealent is lots cheaper than Fabseal and is exactly the same stuff.
