Hi, I'm relatively new to the forum and have just went back to camping after some time out.  Anyway i was wandering if anyone could help me with the following:

What are the best sites to go to around the loch lomond area in Scotland or in the Lakes?

I am also looking for a large(preferably 2 bedroom) tunnel style tent and have narrowed it down to the following,however, I dont know anyone that owns these:

Hi welcome to UKCS cant help you with the tents but if you go to http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/results.asp?region=Scotland&county=Argyll you can search for campsites in the loch lomond area and read reviews and get details of campsites from here to. hope this helps.

Looking at the 2 tents you've listed the Gelert has almost double the living space than the Coleman, but i don't know either of them personally. I have the Vango version of the Gelert and love it. I can't make out from the picture of the Gelert if there is a 'valance' around the bottom which can make a difference when the weather is cold. Our 1st vango vista didn't have this and was really chilly when camping in cold and windy weather. Our new vista does have a valance and makes such a difference.

Hope this helps but there is such a choice out there - i find it better to go and have a look at tents to find what will suit you best. Its difficult to tell from a picture what size a tent really is and whether its right for you.
