going camping tomorrow, can't wait. just finised packing, we have been doing it all day.......... yes yes yes beer and wine are packed............    plus a heater..

Where are you going?

Hey tiger.  Have a good one.  I just got back from my first outing of the season.  A night at Tom's Field near Swanage.  Not a cloud in the sky.  Sun streaming into my tent this morning.  Watching the sun rise over the Isle of Wight.  The lambs were springing along in the next door field.  And there was frost on my windscreen.....My Thermarest and my hot water bottle did me proud!!

HE WE ARE OFF ON WEDNESDAY, NEVER BEEN WHEN IT THIS COLD BEFORE. AT LEAST WE ARE NOT THE ONLY MAD ONES LOL. HAVE FUN HOPE WE ALL DONT FREEZE TO DEATH

Have promised my 10 year old son that I will take him and three friends camping to try out his new 'camouflage' tent ... and so we are going Wed and Thu this week (brrrrr!).

Fortunately the campsite allows campfires, and is based in the woods, so the boys can play 'spies' in amongst the trees, and I can sit by the fire with a good book!

I normally like my luxuries when camping (EHU, heater, electric frypan, electric lights, full height queen sized airbed, etc) but this will be much more basic. (hot water bottle essential though!) Strangely enough, I'm looking forward to it just as much!
